On Saturday 16th June we performed Flying The Nest at Woodside Festival in Shipley, Derbyshire. We had a beautiful setting in Erewash Valley next to a pond, so it was the perfect festival for our birders to hatch their eggs.
Partnered with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, the day is centred around raising support and awareness for local wildlife, so we really felt close to nature in this setting! It was a fun-filled day of food, drink, live music and activities for the whole family.
Although we don’t get the opportunity to do it that often, we love performing at nature reserves and Flying The Nest was the ideal show for this. Woodside is a brand-new festival and one that is different to other family festivals we usually attend. As well as our performance, we had the chance to talk to members of the audience afterwards about the ethos of our company and the handmade sets which was lovely.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return to Woodside Festival in the future!
