Too Many Cooks

Too Many Cooks is a sizzlingly scrumptious show jam packed with tasty tunes, popping puppets and a lot of silly sausages! No ordinary theatre show, this culinary delight will get your taste buds going. Suitable for ages 0-100.

HandMade Theatre created this exciting touring show for summer 2018. Inspired by the boom in food themed TV shows, festivals and an artisan culture in anything from coffee to sausages! In this tasty show we encounter three food enthusiasts as they battle it out to win Best in Show, with prize winning veg, best bakes and the worlds smelliest cheese. We also meet a team of whacky waiters with their haphazard tomfoolery, ready to serve you with tea and treats. Set in a specially converted food van, overflowing with handcrafted goodies and colourful costumes. So pull up a chair and join us in the ‘Too Many Cooks’ culinary café.

HANDMADE THEATRE WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2011 AND SINCE THEN WE HAVE DEVELOPED A NUMBER OF KEY PRODUCTIONS DEVELOPING OUR UNIQUE INTERACTIVE STYLE AND BRAND.

It all began with The Flying Machine which was a creative project originally developed in collaboration with Rosehill Special School. This went on to become a popular family show touring to festivals and events nationally and set us on track as a successful touring company.

We are proud of all the unique productions we have created exploring a wide range of themes from history to transport, adventure to nature. Sadly as ideas and performers move on, not all our wonderful shows can remain in our current touring vocabulary and must be archived. That is the very nature of producing live events. But a little glimpse at our past work can be found here.
